I'd often wondered if my clients ever wonder what these newborn photography poses are called and how did we come up with them so I thought it would be fun to make some little photo collages with names attached :) I got out my Stand In Baby for some of them but also used actual images I have taken of my clients.

Now, these are not all of the possibilities but a great example of what you will see me do in my newborn sessions. I did not include all of my prop or posing options such as a little bed, chair, the dream catcher, potato wrap, etc.... I think there would be far too many varieties to ever share but this is a good start!

Some photographers may call these poses different names but this is what I call them. I think mom, dad, siblings and family are all self explanatory but I'll be quite honest - I do not know why the taco pose is called the taco pose - perhaps because baby is folded in half like a taco shell LOL
