Leo was my last newborn for 2021 and he was such a little rockstar! Leo's newborn session took place in his own home, as all of my newborn sessions do. His in-home newborn session was a gift from his grandpa to his parents - what an awesome gift! You can see below, after all of his session images, what he received - a 10x10 coffee table book, a 16x20 wall portrait, a wooden photo box with his 4x6 proofs, and a custom USB with all of his sessions digital files. And peep that cute little teether my newborn clients receive with their orders!
We started off with some snuggly images in the family bed and captured some of the sweetest family photos ever! His big brother Lucas was such an adorable little guy!
Afterward, we took some more traditional poses with mom, dad & Leo on a cream backdrop and then got the most adorable portrait of Lucas & Leo together! Lucas was pretty excited to be a big brother! After all of the family images were taken it was just Leo & I.....he looked so sweet and snuggly in those little cream jammies & I adore the little sleepy hats!
Leo's mom & dad chose the little curved bench, the chalkboard bed, and the airplane for his props. Typically I only use two props in my newborn sessions but when mom chose the three I said we'd see what Leo was willing to do and he breezed straight thru! What a sleepy boy! That chalkboard bed is one of my oldest props but definitely a favorite of my clients.
After the props were finished I did one more blanket pose with him on the pretty blue drop before I wrapped him all up for the 'potato poses' - I call these wrapped images 'potato poses' because the babies look like fat little potatoes wrapped up like that. The new grey drop I used looked so pretty and I always do the pose on the fluffy flokati rug with a little stuffed toy - Leo had the little teddy bear. After that, a quick plop into the bucket, another of my most favorite props, and we called it a day.
I'd love to plan a spectacular newborn session for you and your sweet baby - contact me today and we can talk all about it!
