As much as I love newborn sessions I also love the 1st Birthday Session! By now your little one has so much more personality and can sit, stand, sometimes they are even walking! 

Spencer was such a handsome little guy and I think he enjoyed his 1st Birthday Portraits! His parents opted out of having the cake but we replaced that with a fun bubble bath at the end of his session and he had so much fun!!! We were all laughing so hard - water and bubbles were flying everywhere!

For the 1st year milestone session I bring little chairs, cute baskets to contain speedy crawlers, crates, beds and I even have two types of bathtubs. Almost all of the props that I use for my newborns I can also use for my toddlers, just in different ways. Usually, the 1st Birthday session ends with a cake smash but not all parents want that part, which is understandable. I can always replace that with another prop or we can do the fun bath splash like little Spencer had. And if you have a theme for their first birthday I can do a little setup to match that for you!
